What is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy or Online/Virtual therapy is Speech/Language Therapy that is provided by a Licensed and Certified Speech Language Pathologist. A Secure, HIPPA Compliant platform is used by therapist to help children improve their speech/language skills. Children interact with the therapist just as he/she would in person. For very young children, a parent/adult is needed to help faciliate learning.

Is teletherapy effective?
Yes!!! The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has recognized teletherapy as an effective method of service delivery since 2005.
What do I need for teletherapy?
1. A strong internet connection
2. A computer with a microphone, speakers and videocamera (this is built into most computers)
3. A computer is preferred but a mobile device (tablet/smartphone) will work
Is teletherapy for everyone?
Some children will benefit greatly from this method and others will benefit more from face to face therapy sessions.
